It all started with the connection we established with porcelain in Ayvalık in 2012.

 

Porcelain taught us patience, curiosity, and the importance of continuous experimentation. Over time, it ceased to be merely a material; it transformed into a way of expressing our thoughts, feelings, and dreams.

This long journey took on a new identity in 2022 under the name Monte. In our workshop nestled among olive trees in Türközü Village, Ayvalık, we continue to create, drawing inspiration from nature, the geography we live in, and the small details of life.

 

At Monte, each piece goes through many stages, from design and molding to coloring and firing. We respect the delicate nature of porcelain; without rushing the process, we allow each piece to find its own character. That's why each of our creations carries a unique story, with subtle differences left by hand craftsmanship.

For us, Monte is not just about producing porcelain; it's about bringing together the craftsmanship of the past with the life of today, growing together in this place, and leaving behind stories worth telling.

What began as a journey between Şeniz and Okan continues to grow today with a team that shares their effort, knowledge, and love.
