It all began in 2012, in Ayvalık, when we first formed a connection with porcelain.

Porcelain taught us patience, curiosity, and the value of trying again and again. Over time, it became more than just a material; it became a way of expressing our thoughts, emotions, and dreams.

In 2022, this long journey took on a new identity under the name Monte. Today, in our workshop surrounded by olive trees in Türközü Village, Ayvalık, we continue to create, drawing inspiration from nature, the land we live in, and the small details of everyday life.

​

At Monte, every piece passes through many stages—from design and mould-making to colour and firing. We respect the delicate nature of porcelain and never rush the process, allowing each piece the time it needs to find its own character. As a result, every object carries its own story, shaped by the subtle variations and traces of handcraftsmanship.

For us, Monte is about more than making porcelain. It is about bringing the knowledge of traditional craftsmanship into contemporary life, growing together with the place we call home, and leaving behind stories worth telling.

What began as a journey between Şeniz and Okan continues to grow today with a team that shares its craftsmanship, knowledge, and passion.
